John has over 20 years of experience in financial services providing corporate finance, development and advisory services, and financial oversight. He has served as Head of the Corporate & Financial Institutions Group at TD Bank, VP Finance and Corporate Development for CIBC, CFO for a CIBC subsidiary and interim President & CEO for a smaller Canadian bank. He has developed lasting business activities, led industry-first transactions for clients and numerous shareholder value enhancement initiatives.
In recent years, John has been working with private families and private equity funds in the assessment of new investments and to maximize the value of existing business investments through his roles in strategic planning, business development, leading change, M&A and ongoing portfolio management. John has served as strategic advisor and project leader in a number of performance improvement and transformation situations. He has overseen the redesign of business processes, building management teams, client acquisitions, outsourcing, acquisitions, financings and has arranged highly profitable liquidity events. In addition, John works with families and individuals in areas of strategic philanthropy and participates in several charitable organizations. John is an enthusiastic and innovative leader with strong project management capabilities and a results-orientation.
